- The Berlin-based producer's latest, due in April on Foom Music, trades in pop, rock and post-punk influences.
The first full-length by Archangel, a new alias of Bruno Pronsato, is set for release this April.
The Berlin-based producer launched Archangel back in November with a two-track EP featuring a Gary Numan cover and a live cut. As that release suggested, the project finds Pronsato exploring a sound more rooted in live instrumentation and pop, rock and post-punk than the electronic output he's known for. The Bedroom Slant, which will see release on Foom Music, features Pronsato's vocals and his brother David Ford on bass guitar, along with Peter Gordon (of Love Of Life Orchestra fame), Caro from Orac Records, double-bassist Yonatan Levi and the composer and pianist David A. Powers. The album's sleeve was designed by UK artist Marilyn Thompson. We're also told that an Archangel live show, featuring a three-piece band, will be hitting the road soon.
