- The Berlin-based duo's first full-length will see release through their own Suol imprint in April.
Chopstick & Johnjon have released full details of their debut full-length, Twelve.
Real names Chi-Thien Nguyen and John Muder, the pair first formed in Hamburg in 2002, before moving to Berlin to pursue music full-time. With a discography stretching back to 2004, the new album has been a long time coming, and it's set for release through their own Suol label in April. Aimed somewhere between the dance floor and the living room, Twelve captures Chopstick & Johnjon's warm, funk-laden take on house. "Favouring song over track," according to the press release, the LP leans heavily on the vocals of London-based singer Chris James, who features on eleven of the twelve cuts. There's also an appearance from Crew Love staple Tanner Ross, who lends a hand on "Twisted," while an acoustic version of new single "Pining Moon" is also included.
