A series of photographs will be on display at Red Bull Space until mid-May.
Alongside his musical endeavours, Jackson is well-known for his work as a designer. Naturally, the upcoming exhibition combines several of Jackson's areas of expertise, presenting a series of microscopic photographs of the surfaces of records from his personal collection. According to Dazed & Confused's Francesca Gavin, the pictures highlight "the individuality of physical sound waves visually distorted by scratches, stains and smears—wear and tear the artist unintentionally inflicted upon them during decades of use."
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Forever will run until May 16th at 12mail, a studio space run by Red Bull. You can watch a video teaser for the exhibition below:
