Zip, Ricardo Villalobos and Nils Frahm are all billed for the event's next edition.
Kazantip has earned its reputation as one of the more out-there events on the European festival circuit: attendees are known as citizens, and require Kazantip visas to roam free at the event's grounds across its two-week duration. This year organisers have reacted to political turmoil in Crimea by offering free tickets to women from Ukraine and Crimea, which recently voted to become part of Russia. The 2014 edition will begin on July 31st, and run through until August 14th.
The lineup so far features the likes of Zip, Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, Luciano, Dubfire, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers and a full Innervisions complement (Dixon, Âme, Henrik Schwarz and Marcus Worgull). There will also be representation from Dirtybird (Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Eats Everything), Hot Natured (Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Richy Ahmed), the Apollonia trio of Shonky, Dyed Soundorom and Dan Ghenacia, and Romanian selectors Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh, while neo-classical pianist Nils Frahm is also on the bill. More names will be added over the coming weeks.
