The feature film, seven years in the making, is set for release in the coming months.
Titled The House That Chicago Built, the film has been a labour of love for Louis, who interviewed 180 different dance music luminaries over a seven-year period. The film features a who's-who of Chicago house—from Louis himself to Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, Larry Heard, Farley Jackmaster Funk and DJ Pierre—as well as a wide range of artists who have taken house global, from mainstream names like Pete Tong, David Guetta and Avicii, to underground figures like Theo Parrish and Kode9.
On Saturday, April 5th, Louis will premiere material from his forthcoming album—his first in six years—at fabric in London, before travelling up to Scotland to headline Glasgow's Sub Club on Saturday, April 12th. You can watch the first official teaser for the film below:
