- The trio will release their debut album this July.
The Acid—a new collaboration from Adam Freeland, Ry X and Steve Nalepa—has an album on the way called Liminal.
The project brings together three very different musical travelers: Freeland is a Grammy-nominated producer and DJ from the UK; Ry X is an Australian singer-songwriter who's found fame in Berlin working with Âme's Frank Wiedemann as Howling; and Nalepa hails from California, where he produces, composes and teaches music technology.
Their varied backgrounds have led to a sound that's tough to pin down, drawing from pop, rock and club styles in equal measure. You can get a feel for the sound from the album's first single, "Fame." We've embedded the music video below, which features the trio WIFE and was co-directed by Ry X. The full-length lands in most of the world on July 7th via Infectious Music, and in the United States and Canada through Mute Records the following week.
