The drum & bass duo will release their first album through Shogun Audio this month.
Technimatic will release their debut album, Desire Paths, on July 28th.
First coming together as Technicolour and Komatic before joining forces as Technimatic, Peter Rogers and Andy Powell have amassed a small but solid discography, with several releases landing on Shogun Audio subsidiary SGN:LTD. Now they'll debut on Shogun proper with Desire Paths, their first album together and one that sees them exploring some old-school vibes which the label describes as "hand-crafted, soulful drum & bass."
The album is named for "a route between an origin and destination created by footsteps," according to Rogers and Powell, "that often diverges from the set and preconceived routes set out in daily life. We felt it was a nice metaphor for the journey we are on ourselves, for so long treading the standard route in life but striving to get somewhere else [where] we are truly passionate about."
The album will come in three different configurations: a 14-track CD version, a vinyl edition and a digital package with four bonus tracks, two videos and an interview with the duo.
The album launch party will take place at The Nest in London on Wednesday, July 16th.
