  • Moogfest will be a biennial event from here on out. The festival, fronted by the Asheville, North Carolina synthmaker and staged on their home turf, had originally run during the fall. With a bit of retooling, as well as a partnership switch from AC Entertainment to Paxahau, the festival moved to April for 2014. Moog says they'll stage their next one in 2016. "The decision to produce Moogfest biennially is in an effort to maintain the authenticity of the event," the company said in a statement, "as well as the financial and spiritual health of Moog Music and its employees, whose primary focus will always be designing and building synthesizers." Mike Adams, the president and CEO of Moog Music, Inc., added that "producing Producing Moogfest every other year allows us to retain the high level of innovative programming as well as the originality and independence we established in 2014."
