  • The Portland Institute of Contemporary Art has announced the lineup for their annual TBA festival, which runs from September 11th through 21st The 11th annual event will take place in several venues across the city,including Portland State University's Lincoln Performance Hall, The Works and Ecotrust. The multimedia bill includes a screening of HYPNOSIS DISPLAY, the A/V collaboration between Liz Harris (AKA Grouper) and filmmaker Paul Clipson. Seattle rap duo THEESatisfaction will open the festival, and Tanya Tagaq, a Canadian artist known for her contemporary version of Inuit throat singing, will also perform. Tim Hecker will play Time-Based Art on September 14th. Young Brooklyn producer and Kanye West collaborator Arca will DJ alongside Total Freedom and visual artist Jesse Kanda on the 18th, and Warp synth maven Oneohtrix Point Never is scheduled to perform on the 19th.
