The Ibiza nightclub's 25-year celebrations continue with the announcement of its first US venture.
The original Space location in Ibiza opened its doors in 1989. This year the club has been celebrating its 25th anniversary with a three-CD compilation and a festival-sized party in Ibiza back in July. Nightlife veterans Antonio Piacquadio and Carlo Seneca, along with Michael Geniton and Rob Toma—who will oversee booking—will spearhead the opening of Space's New York branch in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, launching on Friday, September 12th.
The club will have several different dance floors across multiple rooms, a rooftop lounge and a Funktion One sound system. The Space New York Facebook page has posted a couple of images of the venue's interior. It will be Space Ibiza's third international location, along with Space Menorca and Space Moscow. Lineups for the opening parties will be announced soon.
