The local Downwards-affiliated duo is billed at the Chicago club's free monthly event next Thursday.
ADSR—which, as any gear-head should know, is short for Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release—started out earlier this year. It serves as a showcase for experimentally inclined electronics, heavy on live sets from Chicago artists, and next Thursday's bill is made up entirely of local talent. That includes Talker, the duo of Karl Meier and Jon Krohn (AKA Stave) who've put out tracks on Downwards (including the Cut The Weight EP for D/N Records, issued in March), and Lokua, whose latest release Val's Groove dropped on Smooth Agent Records last month, along with noise purveyor Anal Hearse and soundtrack-esque synth composer Alex Barnett. A DJ set from Beau Wanzer completes the lineup for the event, which will be free all night.
