Ten Walls, Dusky and A Winged Victory For The Sullen are also part of this year's first announcement.
The first round of names have been announced for Melbourne Music Week 2014 in November.
Each year the ten-day citywide event finds itself a new home base where the bulk of the programme will be presented. This time around, MMW will be taking over the Queen Victoria Market, an historic site in central Melbourne that spans two blocks, for a string of indie and electronic events. Things kick off at 7:30 PM on November 14th with local outfit Architecture In Helsinki headlining the opening night. On the 15th Cut Copy will be in DJ mode along with homegrown talent like Andras Fox & Oscar Key Sung, Roland Tings and Sleep D from 4 PM. Novel will be hosting a party at the Market on November 16th with Dusky and Ten Walls both on the bill.
Outside of the central hub, ambient fans can catch A Winged Victory For The Sullen—the collaborative project of Adam Wiltzie and Dustin O'Halloran—performing at the Melbourne Recital Centre's Elisabeth Murdoch Hall on November 15th, while Tangerine Dream will be making use of the Melbourne Town Hall's grand organ on the night of the 16th.
Head to the Melbourne Music Week website for full details on the events announced so far.
