  • MoMA PS1's Print Shop will host a 13-hour celebration of David Mancuso this Saturday, September 27th. The event coincides with the release of Martin Beck's book, Last Night, which documents the 118 songs played by Mancuso during his final 13-hour party at the Prince Street Loft location in 1984. From noon on Saturday to 1 AM on Sunday, Beck and friends will re-play, in their original sequence, and "in keeping with Mancuso’s signature method of playing records without mixing," each of those records. The launch, which will take place in parallel with PS1's annual New York Art Book Fair, will go down at the new PS1 Print Shop building down the block from the museum's main facility on Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Copies of Last Night, published by White Columns, will be available for sale at the event.
