- An abridged version of the eight-cassette box is available now.
Hospital Productions has announced a double-LP reissue of Alberich's 2010 cassette epic, NATO-Uniformen.
In years following its release, the cult around NATO-Uniformen has grown. Blackest Ever Black's Kiran Sande and Vereker have expressed admiration for the NYC resident's militaristic blend of industrial music, power electronics and techno throb, according to the press release. A hard copy has previously been tough to attain—until now, only 50 copies of the four-hour recording have been released.
His biggest fan, perhaps, is Hospital Productions boss Dominick Fernow (AKA Vatican Shadow), who enlisted Alberich to assist with several of his own recordings as Prurient. Alberich, given name Kris Lapke, has continued to work closely with Hospital, releasing several cassettes on the imprint following this 2010 album.
The NATO-Uniformen reissue gathers 19 of the original's 30 tracks. It'll come out in an edition of 700, the first 250 of which will be pressed onto white vinyl.
