  • Traktor Kontrol S8 is set to ship at the end of October. Native Instruments teased their new flagship DJ controller last month, but the full scoop on the S8 has just come in today. At its heart is a four-channel mixer that can be used separately from the included controller elements. To each side, you'll find the controllers, each of which features a high-resolution color display that presents information about the virtual decks the controller is currently set to. The controllers also feature four faders and eight multicolor pads (for Remix Deck control), touch-sensitive knobs and LED-guided touch strips. NI emphasizes that, like other hardware bits like Maschine, the idea behind the design is to take the performer's focus away from their laptop screens. You can find out more about the S8 in the video embedded below.
Native Instruments will release the Traktor Kontrol S8 on October 30th, 2014 for $1,199.
