  • L.A. Club Resource will release Gene Hunt's Freddy's Dead 12-inch today. The Ron Hardy acolyte first dropped the Nightmare On Elm Street-sampling house track in 1999 via Dustraxx. The LP on which it appeared, Gene Hunt Classics, is long out of print. L.A. Club Resource founder Delroy Edwards considers Gene Hunt a major influence, and put out the Chicago producer's Pandemonium EP on his label earlier this year. For the B-side, the label has acquired "Bong," an unheard track Hunt created in the early '90s. The record drops just in time for Halloween. Fittingly, the label art features iconic horror villain Freddy Kruger. Freddy's Dead is available on the Gene's Liquor website. Check out the title track below.
