James Blake and friends will bring their party to Sound Nightclub on Wednesday.
The DJ night will allow the popular singer and producer to let off some steam after the conclusion of his North American tour, which wraps up at The Roxy the evening prior. Airhead, AKA Rob McAndrews, did double duty on the recent jaunt, opening up for Blake and also playing guitar in his band.
The 1-800-Dinosaur parties were originally conceived as afterparties for Blake's live dates (drummer Mr. Assister and regular opening DJ Klaus also participate). The ad hoc collective eventually secured a Plastic People residency and began to release records on the imprint of the same name, and they've been taking the show around the world since.
The November installment of Blake and 1-800-Dinosaur's BBC Radio 1 residency was recently hosted on the label's Soundcloud page. Check it out below.
