The two-room party will be Bicknell's first North American date in more than a decade.
Formerly a resident of the city's Forbidden Planet parties, Trafford now heads up his own series called Psychic Driving (which so far has featured the likes of Vril and Valentin Stip this year). For his New Year's event he's brought out the UK's Steve Bicknell for his first North American date in more than ten years. The techno veteran recently relaunched his own Cosmic Records label and dropped his first records since 2005. He'll head up the techno room with support from a cast of locals that includes Trafford, Adam Solomon and Alessandroid.
The "chill room" will feature a "long, rotating jam session" from Booma Collective, as well as debut live sets from L'estasi Dell'oro and Adam Feingold. Essaie Pas are also on hand to perform a "Montreal synth coldwave set" immediately after midnight, and there will be also be a "massive pillow fort filled with live drone jams into the early morning" courtesy of A Picturesque Venus Transit.
The venue address remains undisclosed and will be announced two days before the event.
