  • Project Pablo will release his first tape for 1080p on February 24th. Patrick Holland was an important member of Vancouver's burgeoning house scene before moving to Montreal in the second half of 2014. Formerly producing as 8prn, he changed his alias to Project Pablo and signalled a turn towards house with an an EP on Hybridity. He also helps run the ASL Singles Club label. 1080p calls I Want To Believe "a blue-tinged walk through Little Italy," and it's heavily informed by classic disco, including "ultra-real types of smoothness like George Benson, Sade or Steely Dan." Noni Wo's Jeremy Dabrowski provides live bass sounds on a few tracks. The new tape is part of a typically busy winter season for 1080p—they've also got albums from Vancouver group Neu Balance and New York's Max McFerren coming in January, along with a debut from Friendly Chemist in February. You can stream a new mix of Holland's "forgotten things & demos from 2014" below.
