The UK artists will hit Vancouver, San Francisco and Seattle, and Kowton has two more gigs confirmed.
Both artists hail from the UK. This trip across the Atlantic comes at a time when both are flying high off the success of recent releases. Modern Love label fixture Stott put out his latest LP Faith In Strangers back in November, another very well-regarded one which topped RA's 2014 albums list—and in a notable reflection of his status beyond the usual circles, grabbed a spot on The Washington Post's year-end list. Around the same time, Livity Sound co-founder Kowton (whose work alongside Peverelist was examined with a Machine Love feature) was behind an RA-recommended record on Whities that's already been earmarked for a repress.
As usual, Stott will play live and Kowton will DJ. They'll first hit The Fox Cabaret in Vancouver on Friday, January 23rd, then San Francisco's Public Works the next evening, as part of Icee Hot's last-ever party. That one also has Robert Hood, Gerd Janson and Pender Street Steppers (who are at the helm of RA.350) confirmed. Lastly, on Monday the 26th, the two will swing through Seattle for a Decibel event at Neumos, where a live set from Raica, AKA Further Records co-founder Chloe Harris (who just announced plans for a vinyl issue of her 2012 album Dose), completes the lineup.
While Stott plays on the continent fairly often, this trip is a rare one for Kowton, and he'll be stateside a little early for two other gigs. This Saturday, he'll play a Trouble & Bass and Turrbotaxx show at Verboten in Brooklyn, and Thursday the 23rd has him in Los Angeles for a Phuture Perfect night at The Lash.
Tickets to those shows are available on RA.
