The LA techno head will play gigs in San Francisco and Seattle at the end of the month.
Since introducing the Truncate alias in 2011, the longtime Droid Behavior affiliate (real name David Flores) has maintained a prolific pace of releases. 2014 was no exception, seeing three 12-inches for his dedicated Truncate label, various remixes and an EP for Modeselektor's 50 Weapons.
The San Francisco party will be presented by Robot Ears, a Bay Area promoter that recently brought in Paco Osuna for an extended set in the same venue. They've invited members of the Direct To Earth to share opening duties, spinning back-to-back with Robot Ears residents. For their part, DTE's recently put on Carl Craig and Luke Hess in San Francisco. On the 31st, Flores will play Seattle's Re-Bar as part of a very early pre-party for the Movement festival in Detroit. Seattle artists Sone, Miss Shelrawka and John Massey act as support.
