A new two-day event will debut in Southampton this May, featuring Dusky, Derrick Carter and more.
Bestival has announced a new two-day festival called Common People, taking place at Southampton Common on May 23rd and 24th.
Southampton Common is a 326-acre green space on the UK South Coast. It's located just north of Southampton city centre, close to Bestival’s Isle Of Wight home. Common People's maiden lineup features a mixture of DJs and live acts, covering house, techno, hip-hop, indie and more. On the dance front, Dusky, Derrick Carter, Dense & Pika, Huxley and Leon Vynehall will be on hand to provide club-focused fare. Live acts include De La Soul and Band Of Skulls. Fatboy Slim, DJ Yoda and Jaguar Skills are among the other big names. Like Bestival, Common People will offer a range of attractions alongside the music, which include a circus, clown show, theatre and Morris dancing. More acts are set to be announced in the coming weeks and months.
