The Border Community boss will lug his modular setup around the UK in April.
The UK artist is still riding high off the release of The Inheritors, his 2013 album which we named the best of that year. Around that time, Holden first teamed up with drummer Tom Page to craft a new live set, which he performed opening Atoms For Peace on a US jaunt in 2013, as well as various one-off gigs and festival appearances in the years following. Now he's ready to take the synth-and-drum ensemble on the road for his first-ever headlining live tour, which will start on April 26th in Brighton and swing through Leeds, Gateshead, Bristol and Liverpool, before finishing up in Glasgow on May 1st.
Prior to the full journey, Holden will also make a special solo appearance at the Barbican in London, on April 9th, as part of an event called Hello, Terry Riley. He'll debut a new piece in collaboration with tabla player Camilo Tirado inspired by the legendary minimalist, and they'll be backed up by other Riley-informed sets from Koreless and Luke Abbott. The same showcase will appear in Amsterdam two days later as part of the World Minimal Music Festival.
Tickets for the Bristol and Glasgow shows are available on RA.
