  • Ableton has just released Version 9.2 of Live. The update is free for current users of the popular DAW, and it's currently available as a public beta. There's plenty that's new with this version. The Berlin-based company says we can expect improved warping, particularly in the Complex and Complex Pro modes, where users will find punchier transients. Some latency issues are getting addressed. There also are some Push-specific tweaks: the controller's pads are getting an aftertouch, the touch strip can now function as a mod wheel, and users can employ all 64 pads for drumming. (The video below shows off this functionality nicely.) You'll even find a new tuner device. You can find out more information about Ableton's beta program and download the update here.
Live 9.2 is now available from Ableton.
