- The Essen producer's first LP arrives on Denmark's Tartelet Records in May.
Glenn Astro's debut album, Throwback, will be released on Tartelet Records in May.
The album will be Glenn Astro's second solo Tartelet release. It follows Chemistry, a 12-inch that dropped on the Copenhagen-based imprint this time last year. That record was one of a handful of Glenn Astro singles released on various labels throughout 2014, a year that saw the German's profile grow significantly. According to Tartelet, Throwback features a hip-hop-influenced style similar to much of his past work, nodding to genres like jazz and soul with a dusty, sample-heavy aesthetic. It comes a few months after Astro and longtime friend Max Graef (who released a well-received album on Tartelet last year) announced a label of their own. Graef features on two tunes on Throwback: "Gonville" and "Kilometer Disco."
