The sold-out 18th edition of the German festival will take place July 31st through August 2nd.
Nachtdigital been going down annually for almost two decades. It's held at a GDR-era resort called Bungalowdorf Olganitz, located within the limits of a small eastern German town called Cavertitz. In recent years, Nachtdigital's reputation has grown significantly, thanks to a slick booking policy and high production standards (as noted in RA's 2014 review). Even as the event has become better known, its 3,000-person capacity has remained the same, meaning each edition usually sells out within minutes (including this year's festival).
Those who managed to get tickets this time around can expect a mixed bag of house, techno and experimental music. Back-to-back pairings make up a big portion of the bill—Ben UFO and Prosumer, Barnt and Joy Orbison, Helena Hauff and I-F—while a large contingent likely pushing darker sounds includes Andy Stott, Monolake and Karenn. Other highlights include Luke Abbott, Map.ache, Traxx, Neel, Young Wolf (AKA Young Marco & Wolf Müller) and Giegling's Konstantin and DJ Dustin.
