  • International Cities Of Advanced Sound, otherwise known as ICAS, has announced ICAS Festival, taking place in Dresden from April 27th through May 3rd. ICAS is a global network of independent non-profit creative organisations. The Dresden event will have a musical focus not unlike some of ICAS's best-known festival associates—CTM, Unsound and MUTEK—so you can expect plenty of avant-garde artists and sounds. The lineup so far includes Editions Mego associate Lorenzo Senni, Paris-based artist Low Jack and Gábor Lázár. Like many events in the ICAS realm, numerous exhibitions, workshops and conferences will run alongside the club and concert events, but exact details are still TBA. Events are planned at a number of Dresden locations, including the 19th century Thalia cinema, Lab15 and Altes Wettbüro. The festival's headquarters will be inside Festspielhaus Hellerau, located in the Dresden's garden district.
