Nina Kraviz, Matthew Herbert and Derrick May will perform at the Paris festival's expanded third edition.
The various satellite events, called Off, will run from May 27th through May 31st. The main festival, titled On, starts on June 4th and finishes on June 7th. The first week will see a string of "conferences, workshops, debates and master classes" taking place at various locations in Paris, including Arab World Institute and Gaîté Lyrique, organisers say. This will be supplemented by parties held at venues like Rex Club, Machine du Moulin Rouge, Batofar and Concrete. There will also be a revamped "Mini-Weather" programme designed to cater to children and families. That will take place on the banks of the Seine and admission to under 16s will be free.
The main festival will begin on June 4th. Taking place at a new location—a 250,000 sq m outdoor space in Bois de Vincennes—it'll launch with a live performance from Derrick May, Francesco Tristano, Dzijan Emin and a philharmonic orchestra. The action on June 5th and 6th will be spread across four stages with the same seasonal themes as previous editions. Organisers say they expect attendances to top 50,000. New acts include Nina Kraviz, RPR Soundsystem, Karenn, Lil' Louis, Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, a back-to-back set from DVS1 and Rødhåd, Robag Wruhme and Matthew Herbert. Previously announced acts include Ricardo Villalobos, Marcellus Pittman, MCDE and DJ Deep.
