- Jean-Patrice Rémillard's next full-length is due out in May.
Montreal producer Pheek has a new album on the way, titled White Raven.
With a career in music that dates back to the late '90s and includes over a dozen albums (not to mention plenty of other tracks and remixes), Jean-Patrice Rémillard has long been known in underground circles for his trippy, atmospheric style of minimal techno. As Pheek, he's appeared on labels like Minus, Contexterrior and Lick My Deck, but the bulk of his output has come through his own label Archipel, which is where White Raven will see release. It happens to come amidst a run of self-issued, mostly ambient productions, like the recent effort "A Sense Of Sacred", which Rémillard has crafted under his given name. The expansive 15-track album, described as having been "composed of the flotsam and jetsam of synthesizers stored underground in a secret cave for techno spelunkers," is set to come out digitally on May 4th. A CD version will follow a week later.
