The UK producer is moving on from his former alias with the Night Of Visions album, out in November.
Indigo will become Ancestral Voices starting with a new LP called Night Of Visions, landing on Samurai Horo in November.
Liam Blackburn, who previously made drum & bass as Indigo and is one half of Akkord alongside close working partner Synkro, first debuted his new name last year at a Samurai event last year, but kept the identity secret. Now he's coming forward as the man behind the moniker, as well as announcing that he's "moving on" from the Indigo project with the new album.
The ambient-leaning Night Of Voices is "seeping with textures, loaded with a taut energy that whispers tales of shamanism and transformative life experiences," according to the label, with a "mystical atmosphere" and "distinct resonances of his musical heritage flowing through a more mature filter."
Ancestral Voices will play a set at a Samurai Horo and Northern Electronics collaboration party in London on December 4th. That'll go down at Corsica Studios with label-mates DjRum, Presha, Sam KDC and ASC.
Update: The album has been delayed until November. Check out a new video teaser below.
