Two separate parties will be held by local crews Strange Fruit and The Operatives this weekend.
Promoters from Sydney and Melbourne have organised Nepal fundraising parties in their respective cities this weekend.
Both shows will be entry-by-donation, with all proceeds going towards charity organisations providing assistance in Nepal following last month's devastating earthquake. Sydney's Strange Fruit will come out of dormancy to host a 16-hour gig at The Bridge Hotel in Rozelle on May 9th, with more than a dozen local DJs playing across three rooms from 2 PM including Simon Caldwell, Ben Korbel, Jimi Polar, Jamie Lloyd and organiser Jordan Deck. The Melbourne event, Remedy No. 5, will be hosted by The Operatives on May 10th at Section 8 Container Bar, again kicking off at 2 PM and running until early morning with JPS, Prequel, Billy Hoyle and plenty more.
The Sydney party will be donating funds to the Non-Resident Nepali Association, while Melbourne's proceeds will go towards local NGO The Big Umbrella.
