The Downwards duo will play shows in Australia, Singapore and Thailand this month.
OAKE have four shows booked for the Asia-Pacific region this month.
The experimental techno pair from Berlin first emerged in 2013 with two 12-inch releases for Downwards. These were followed by their debut album, Auferstehung, which dropped late last year to a warm reception. Now OAKE will be making their first trip down south, beginning with Black, a show presented by Billion Underground and recently formed imprint Resistance / Restraint, on June 13th at a TBA Melbourne location. They'll be joined on the night by more than half a dozen locals including Lost Few, Moopie and Gene Hoffmann.
On the 18th they'll head to Hobart for Dark Mofo, an 11-day festival curated by MONA that takes place in various venues around the city including the Odeon Theatre. They fly up to Singapore on the 20th to play at a screening of Industrial Soundtrack For The Urban Decay at Kilo, before the tour ends with Primeval Music Festival at Live, RCA in Bangkok on June 27th. That one also features Ena and Koichi Shimizu.
Tickets to the Melbourne show are available here on RA.
