- The Vancouver producer will release his Smoke Tape in late June.
Bobby Draino will drop a tape as Journeymann Trax through 1080p on June 23rd.
The Vancouver artist has previously appeared on 1080p, giving the label one of its earliest releases in a split tape with Xophie Xweetland, AKA fellow Vancouverite D. Tiffany. He's also appeared on EPs for Adelaide Soundworks and 100% Silk.
For Smoke Tape, he dons his Journeymann Trax alias, making an album of "damp revisitations into the lush realms of nature of British Columbia's gulf islands, full of hazy epiphanies in the forms of island-vibing tom drums, hypnogogic synth loops, emergent harp flourishes, softly acid-tinged arpeggios and generally vivid and misty rainforestial atmospherics," according to the label. Smoke Tape features collaborations with D. Tiffany and Edmonton's Khotin. Take a listen to "Canopy" below.
