This year's theme is "surprise," which means no lineup will be announced for this year's event.
In keeping with this year's theme—surprise—no artists will be announced in the lead-up to the festival. A cryptic press release issued yesterday partially explains the reasons for the secret approach, asking, "How do our expectations affect the value we place on music as an art form?" and stating that they hope the approach will "generate a unique atmosphere that our audience and artists will want to come along for the ride."
Unsound has been taking place annually since 2003. In the years since, it's become one of the world's most celebrated events for forward-thinking electronic music. Tickets for the 2015 edition go on sale on June 10th. In the meantime, check out Ryan Keeling's review of last year's festival.
