The Mule Musiq boss touches down at the San Francisco weekly later this month.
As Mule (and sublabel Endless Flight) moves towards 15 years in business, Kawasaki continues with a shrewd A&R policy that sees him working with artists from his native Japan (KZA, Gonno) and abroad (Fred P, DJ Sprinkles). In a rare interview from 2012, he told RA he's primarily interested in organic music, reserving Endless Flight for sample-based tracks and using Mule for productions with a "human touch." Housepitality has proved a reliable source for deep mid-week bookings, hosting Specter, Brawther and King Britt over the past few months.
