  • This Wednesday March 19, the Hedset Crew step up to unite hip hop beats with a good cause at Pony Bar in Lt Collins St, Melbourne. They're putting on a benefit gig for the Victorian Peace Network who try to promote peace in these difficult times by bringing together the diverse organisations responsible for education, campaigns, public events and rallies. Co-supported by DMC Beats, the night is a great opportunity to get down with the local hip-hop acts and DJs of Melbourne. All the DJs on the night will be busting out beats for free to show their support, so why not show yours!? New Zealand's DJ Mo will start the night off with downbeat & hip-hop. Danny Cool is the man for the funked up beats and block party hip-hop. The Gentlemens Record Club and Spare Change Society will provide live hip-hop on the night, and Ginger Martini will finish things off with smooth flavours. And if you need any further incentive to attend, DMC will also be giving away copies of UK DMC Champ, DJ Skully'snew mix CD! The night starts at 8pm. Door charge is $7 and all profits go to Vic Peace as a donation. RA will be representin'!
