The Detroit Don will spin alongside Marcellus Pittman for the Crate Diggers afterparty in October.
Crate Diggers is a joint venture between Grimy! proprietor Zernell and Discogs. The event has previously taken place near Discogs HQ in Portland. The free LA event follows the same format, featuring a full-on record fair all day and the afterparty in the evening.
Sound Signature boss Theo Parrish has gone easy on live shows and DJ gigs as of late. Crate Diggers is his only scheduled engagement, after a flurry of 2014 activity around the release of his American Intelligence album. Marcellus Pittman sits alongside Parrish in the Three Chairs supergroup, and the Unirhythym label head has teased out details on his debut album in between constant DJ gigs as of late. Pittman and Parrish appeared on a Sound Signature split way back in 1999.
