- Designed as an all-in-one hardware box for helping producers hammer out tunes, it's due out in the middle of this month.
Circuit is the latest production tool from Novation.
It's billed as "all you need to make music everywhere," combining drum sounds and "Nova-heritage" synths into a single box that will help producers get ideas down quick without a laptop. It features two Novation poly synths and a four-part drum machine programmed using a four-by-eight grid of velocity-sensitive, RGB-lit pads. You can use the pad to play sounds manually or use the grid as a step sequencer. Once you have a track put together, you can save it in one of 32 slots. If you want to work on the go, Circuit comes with a built-in speaker and can run on battery power. Delay and reverb effects, USB and MIDI connectivity and 64 ready-to-go patches help round out the package. For more, check out the video embedded below.
Novation will release Circuit on October 15th for a suggested retail price of $329.99.
