1080p has announced its final tape of the year: an ambient album from Magic Touch.
The LA producer is known for a boisterous sound heavily influenced by classic disco and house, with releases landing on 100% Silk and True Romance. Clouds Of David, which comes under his given name, Damon Eliza Palermo, shows a different side. He's made a few CD-R mixes of ambient and new age material in the past, though Clouds Of David is his first proper ambient release, which the Vancouver label describes as "full, forestial ambience padded by light percussion and large swathes of breathy, deep blue melody." The album was made mostly with a Yamaha SU700 and a few plugins in just two weeks. You can stream "River Drum" (via self-titled) below.
