Android users are getting a new SoundCloud app.
It's called Pulse, and it's aimed at users who are uploading content to SoundCloud. It fills in some of the gaps in the main SoundCloud app, which began focusing more on the listener side of things when it was updated last year. Pulse allows users to comment, peruse stats on their account, publicly and privately share tracks and follow other users—in other words, it brings a lot of functionality of the desktop-friendly SoundCloud experience into the mobile space. Version 1.0 is described as "only the beginning," with deeper stats, track information editing, track uploading, more messaging features and an iOS version all coming soon.
