The Death Of Rave will release the trio's EP1 later this week.
The unlikely trio—two grime artists from the UK and one Italian purveyor of noisy techno—first came together for a performance at Berlin's CTM15 festival. EP1 is their debut record, and the first in what will be an ongoing series from The Death Of Rave.
The label says the trio were inspired by late '90s tech-step and early grime, sent through "a matrix of modular synths, haptic constructs and computer software." The project's name was inspired by author William Gibson's trio of sci-fi novels, particularly "the cybernetic predictions of Neuromancer and the ways in which its notions of uploaded consciousness and the effects of technology have played out in our collective reverie."
