- The British artist's next LP will land in January.
Matt Karmil will drop IDLE033, his next album, on January 29th.
Karmil has been releasing records of subtle, loopy house since 2013, racking up records for labels like PNN, Beats In Space, Studio Barnhus and Endless Flight. Earlier this year he debuted on Bristol label Idle Hands with the Play It, Do It, Say It EP, which RA's Dylan Thompson called "three charismatic tracks of scuffed and potent house music." Now he's going back to Bristol for his second album, simply called IDLE033.
The tracks on IDLE033 were originally sent to label boss Chris Farrell with the intention of doing another EP, but Farrell decided the tracks went so well together that he would release them all as is. The label says that Karmil uses the LP to stretch out, adding that "these aren't straight dance tracks, neither is this a ponderous ambient LP."
Take a listen to "Moments," a recent track from Karmil, below.
