Next year's edition of the Spanish electronic music festival will run from June 16th through 18th. As with the 2015 event, Sónar By Day will happen at Fira Montjuïc, with Sónar By Night going down at Fira Gran Via. Organisers say more than 150 acts will perform in 2016, and the first announcement features UK acts New Order and Fatboy Slim as well as the European debut of ANOHNI, the project of Anton Hegarty from Antony And The Johnsons plus Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke. Other confirmed names include American composer John Luther Adams, Kenny Dope, Matias Aguayo, The Black Madonna, Acid Arab, Congo Natty, Skepta, Kode9, an Ed Banger crew (Busy P, Para One, Boston Bun) and collaborators King Midas Sound and Fennesz.
Before its flagship event takes place, Sónar will hold satellite festivals in Buenos Aires, Santiago, Bogotá, Reykjavik and Stockholm. For more information, head to RA's listings.
