The 3000-capacity venue is the global party brand's entrance into the Asian market.
Located just across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong, the ex-Portuguese colony of Macau is one of China's high-end tourism hotspots—it has been dubbed the Las Vegas of Asia. Pacha's first entry into the Asian clubbing market comes in the form of a 3000-capacity space within Macau's Studio City resort, a "cinematically-themed integrated entertainment, retail and gaming" complex, according to a press release. The club will open this month, with EDM names like Skrillex, Nervo and R3hab stopping by to perform.
The news comes a fortnight after the announcement that Pacha New York will close in January 2016, more than a decade after it first opened.
