- A spin-off from the track-sharing Facebook group of the same name, its four-track debut lands on vinyl in January.
A 12-inch from Northern Irish DJ/producer Darren Allen will be the first release on a new label called Underlying Form.
The label takes its name from an invite-only Facebook group in which members share tracks and the occasional mix. Primarily made up of individuals from across the UK and Europe, it's assembled more than 1,000 members since launching four years ago, and remains a key place for many users to post relatively unknown tracks they've recently dug up. There's also an Underlying Form events series, which hosts semi-regular parties in Belfast. Past guests include Isherwood, Andrew James Gustav and Bruno Schmidt.
Underlying Form's first release is due out in January. Titled Invisible Landscape EP, it's vinyl-only and comprises four crunchy minimal tracks. You can stream snippets via the player below.
