Berlin-based photographer Marie Staggat's book will feature iconic Motor City artists like Carl Craig, Mike Huckaby and Moodymann.
The 320-page brainchild of Berlin-based photographer Marie Staggat, 313ONELOVE includes more than 170 portraits, along with "a string of profound stories," interviews, quotes and drawings. Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Mike Huckaby, Robert Hood, Moodymann, Stacey Hale, Luke Hess, Underground Resistance affiliates like Mike Banks and DJ Skurge and crews like Charivari and Detroit Techno Militia count as just a few of the more than 120 artists featured. Staggat's photos are focused on close-ups of their hands and ears—the "tools" of their trade. The book is also a charity project supporting "children of all ages" in Detroit.
313ONELOVE is set to be published on March 31st, and that night in Berlin, TELEKOM-Electronic Beats presents will host an official launch event at Tresor's Globus room, with a set coming from the Underground Resistance live band Timeline. That's the first place you'll be able to secure a copy—the book will also be sold at all Carhartt WIP stores.
Another event will happen back in Detroit on May 25th, during Movement 2016, at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Look for more information (and more events) to be revealed soon.
313ONELOVE will be published on March 31st.
