The Mile High crew is also about to launch a new monthly event series, Adult Content.
Denver collective Deep Club has revealed its plans for the next few months.
Deep Club, which turned three back in January with help from Honey Soundsystem, is set to host the release party for Thug Entrancer's upcoming album on Software, Arcology, this Friday at 1010 Workshop. Thug Entrancer will play live, as will CGI Records affiliate Golden Donna, Docile Rottweiler and Deep Club resident Dream Hike, while DJ sets come from sold (a former Denver local now living in Chicago) and Deep Club founder Ryan Scannura.
Next Saturday the 12th sees Deep Club launch a new monthly series, called Adult Content, at the new club O Lounge. Taking place on second Saturdays, Adult Content will focus mostly on Denver talent. For the first party, Scannura, Occidental and a few other residents, playing as Deep Club Soundsystem, will spin disco from open to close. On April 9th, Alex Whittier, another resident who's also head of another clued-in local promoter, Nocturnal, and Paul Fleetwood, now based locally but a co-founder of Humanaut and Hot Mass in Pittsburgh, share the bill.
Looking further ahead, two more events at 1010 Workshop are in the works on Friday, April 15th and Saturday, June 18th—the latter a Pride party featuring Gay Marvine and one more Pittsburgh scene fixture in Aaron Clark.
Deep Club will also kick off a podcast next Friday with a set from DJ Skurge, recorded last year at the crew's afterhours at Great American Techno Festival, and its in-house label will return with Occidental's Pariah Dreams EP in late Spring.
You can check out a cut from Occidental on Deep Club's first twelve-inch, a compilation EP released last year, below.
