A raft of names have been added to the Icelandic festival, which returns for its third edition in June.
Since the first batch of names dropped in November, the bill had swelled considerably, with the likes of Radiohead, Jamie Jones, Apollonia, Goldie and Deftones joining Kerri Chandler, Deetron and others. This latest announcement covers a similar range of sounds, nationalities and styles.
On a house and techno tip, there are slots for Art Department, Infinity Ink, Stacey Pullen, Paranoid London (who will play live), Robert Owens, Maher Daniel and Nitin. Grime fans have Novelist and Section Boyz to look forward to, all of whom share the bill with US hip-hop duo M.O.P, British ragga DJ General Levy, South African outfit Die Antwoord and French nu-jazz musician Ludovic Navarre, AKA St Germain. A handful of local artists will also perform, including rappers Gísli Pálmi and Alexander Jarl, and female rap collective Reykjavíkurdætur.
Secret Solstice 2016 will go down in the picturesque surroundings of Reykjavik's Laugardalur Valley from June 17th through 19th.
