- A self-titled LP from the duo will come through the American label in June.
US artists Turk Dietrich and Joshua Eustis have revealed details of a new collaboration called Second Woman.
Belong member Dietrich and Eustis, of Telefon Tel Aviv, are longtime friends and collaborators. The two previously worked together under the alias Benelli, and over the years they've helped each other out with their respective projects. As Second Woman, they've crafted a nine-track self-titled album for John Elliott's Spectrum Spools, which will land on double-vinyl in June. It's described by the label as blending the two artists' individual musical sensibilities into "an alluring new enigma of ASMR-inducing kaleidoscopic dub." Stream album cut "700358bc5" below for an idea of what that could mean.
Eustis has kept busy in early 2016. Along with this and his The Black Queen collaboration with Greg Puciato, he's taking Telefon Tel Aviv back on the road—new material and a Ghostly International reissue of the seminal 2001 TTA album Fahrenheit Fair Enough are also on the way. Meanwhile, Dietrich tweeted last month that work on a third Belong LP (and first since the Kranky-released Common Era, from 2011) is ongoing.
