The German minimalist will release an album of solo electric guitar music, Wave, in May.
The Hamburg-based imprint is perhaps best known for house and techno records from artists like Efdemin and Dial head Lawrence, though their catalogue also spans ambient music, art rock and punk reissues. "We might even release a black metal record," Lawrence, AKA Peter Kersten told RA's Will Lynch in last year's label of the month feature.
Their next release is an album of "post-minimalist" guitar experiments from Christian Naujoks—a composer, singer and DJ who's been with Dial since 2009, when he released his debut album Untitled. Naujocks is also a part of the band Sky Walking alongside RVDS and Lawrence. For Wave, he worked with the in-demand German production engineer Tobias Levin, who has also done studio time with artists like Kreidler, Faust and Felix Kubin, as well as Pantha Du Prince & The Bell Laboratory.
